Type your desired password inside the ‘Password’ and ‘Verify’ boxes and then tap on ‘Done’ at the top right corner. ![]() On the next screen, you will be asked to set a password for the file. Expand this sheet by swiping up on it and then select the ‘Lock PDF’ option from here. When the file loads up, tap on the Share icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. Once you file the PDF file you want to lock, open it by tapping on its thumbnail. Note: PDF files stored on your iCloud Drive cannot be locked on iOS 15, only locally saved files can be password-protected. ![]() If you wish to lock a PDF file available locally on your iPhone, first open the Files app, and browse the PDF file that you wish to lock from under Browse > On My iPhone.
